Texas removed over 1 million ineligible voters from their voter rolls
Governor Abbot released details on the number of ineligible voters removed from voter rolls, including over 6,500 noncitizens, 1,930 of which have voter history
Governor Abbot has followed up on the SSA voter registration data debacle, publishing details on the 1.1 million ineligible registrants that were wiped from their voter rolls.
Intellectual Dissatisfaction covered the story that broke in April this year, highlighting SSA voter registration data that showed tens to hundreds of thousands of registrants in Missouri, Texas, and other states, that came back as deceased and non-matches in their system.
This raised questions over what this data meant, as the SSA website clearly stated that States are only to submit requests for verification for new registrants who do not provide a government issued ID during the voter registration process.
Texas had released a statement claiming that the data on the SSA website did not reflect reality, that it was incorrect, and that they were working to get this corrected. You can read more about that here.
To recap, Missouri had provided us with a statement claiming that, “Changes to voter rolls occur with new applications, name changes, changes of addresses, notices of returned mail, failure to participate in certain elections, and death notices. As you can imagine all of this activity is not necessarily linear but rather cyclical and ongoing in election years. The SSA reporting referenced does not equate to new voter registration, while that is a part of it, LEAs can run checks and verification on new as well as historical records.”
This ran contrary to the statements Texas made which added to the speculation surrounding what this data actually represented.
One of the main concerns from those on the right was that this data could represent 10’s of thousands of noncitizens attempting to register to vote. In the graphic provided below, we can see that roughly 6,500 noncitizens were removed from voter rolls, along with 6,000 felons, 457,000 deceased, 463,000 on the suspense list, 134,000 who moved, 65,000 who failed to respond to the examination, and 19,000 who requested to cancel their registration.
While 6,500 noncitizens is a substantial amount of noncitizens who registered to vote, it pails in comparison to the number of deceased registrants that got removed in this voter roll clean-up initiative Abbot launched back in 2021.
However, of the over 6,500 noncitizens removed from the voter rolls, approximately 1,930 have a voter history. The Secretary of State’s office is in the process of sending all 1,930 records to the Attorney General’s Office for investigation and potential legal action.
This initiative comes after Abbot signed multiple election integrity bills into law, laws which aim to increase penalties and bolster the investigatory process for cracking down on fraudulent registration and voting.
You can read more about those bills here.
Both being voter ID eligibility states, you are highlighting the dynamic of acquiring a false identification document is far easier than matching an unseen signature. The security measure identification mandate replaced.
Give us real numbers here. How many of these people were actually dead? I promise you, they don't show up and vote. No doubt the majority, be it simple or vast, in that sub group.
I'm going to unpack this in multiple replies. Using the app on a phone does not allow you to refer back to the original article. I'm going to have to inject truth to your narrative one lie at a time.
Starting with, anything that comes from the current executive administration in Missouri or Texas is bullshit. Not genuine nor connected to truth. Not even coincidentally. They both are criminal administrations filled with criminals. The only thing more morally bankrupt then joining them in administration is fellating them, posing as a "journalist."
Here we go .....
