What’s crazy is that on a Saturday morning I felt pain in my left chest and neck, like under my collarbone and up from there. It got worse, but was never excruciating pain, just a major irritation. So my wife took me to a tiny hospital in Northwest Colorado, where they did a CAT scan (they don’t have an MRI). The young ER doctor saw a bleed, so he got the helicopter to take me to Salt Lake City.
In SLC the doctor did an MRI and saw that my left vertebral artery was bleeding out into my chest. He did an angio and occluded the artery. I went home on Monday.
My family feels that the helicopter bill was a bargain.
