Tim Pool files defamation lawsuit against Kamala Harris campaign
He is seeking damages, attorney’s fees and costs, as well as a retraction from the Harris campaign
Tim Pool has officially filed a defamation lawsuit against the Kamala Harris campaign for allegedly making false statements of fact against him in a post on X.
The post in question was posted by the official KamalaHQ X account, a post that read, “Trump operatives say their Project 2025 plan is to give Trump total, unchecked legal power so they can jail and execute those who don't support Trump if he wins,” with a clip from his live IRL Podcast in which he had Laura Loomer on as a guest.
The post was viewed over 12M times.
According to the filing, the false claims may have driven someone to go to one of his places of business and physically attack an employee, injuring them.
Pool publicly addressed the post by KamalaHQ on August, 31st, when he said he had engaged legal counsel and was preparing to take legal action against KamalaHQ.
The video clip in the post was from an episode of Timcast IRL featuring Laura Loomer, where she suggested that those who may be found to have committed crimes in their efforts to stop Trump from pursuing the presidency should face the death penalty for “treason”.
At that moment, Tim took down the live stream on YouTube, as calling for such things are against YouTube’s terms of service, and can result in a strike on one’s account.
He officially announced the lawsuit on September 3rd, one day before the DOJ released their indictment of two RT employees who worked with the founders of TENET Media to secretly fund right wing influencers by deceiving them as to the true source of the funding. You can read about the indictment here.
According to the Post Millennial, the lawsuit was filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of West Virginia. The suit was filed on September, 17th.
It stated:
The Harris Campaign did not hedge this statement or couch it as opinion. To the contrary, to any reasonable reader, the Harris Campaign was saying that Mr. Pool wants to suspend the Constitution, make President Trump dictator, and use state power to imprison and kill Mr. Pool and President Trump’s political opponents.
According to the Harris Campaign then, Mr. Pool’s 'plan' is to imitate one of the hallmarks of the most abhorrent, murderous regimes of the past and present.
The filing maintains that the statements made by KamalaHQ are in fact false and have damaged his reputation, potentially costing millions of dollars in advertising to counter the false claims in the hopes of continuing to win audiences who may now be under a false impression.
Tim Pool is also well known for his strong stance against the death penalty, where he has repeatedly argued the government should not have the power to take someone’s life, largely based on the fact that innocent people have been executed at the hands of the State.
According to the filing, Tim Pool will be seeking damages, attorney’s fees and costs, as well as a retraction from the Harris campaign.
my dyslexia read that as “Rabid response”. ahhh.
Hooray 🙌🎉‼️ It's about time that SMI's to start the trend for making those "weird", so-called liberals (Marxists fascists - not the same as what the 70's were all about BTW) get what is considered "a taste of their own medicine". It's not a high road but it's more about self defense, at this point. I mean "c'mon maaan ⁉️." How many more descent people have to be demonized and financially ruined by *those terrorists*, because of what is our God given right to express their own perspectives and Ideas⁉️ Wait a second; that sounds like a democracy. So, who's *really* the threat to *your* democracy, Kamelion Harasss ⁉️🤔
