The LXS Show at Club David: A Night of Hip Hop and Anticipation
Club David, Sioux Falls, SD, USA
The recent LXS show at Club David had all the makings of a great night for hip hop fans in Sioux Falls. The up-and-coming rap show doors were set to open at 8 PM, and many attendees were excited to see LXS perform live. We have seen them a few times at a few different venues across the Midwest, and have enjoyed them enough to come out again! However, the night did not go exactly as planned.
One concertgoer shared their experience at the event. "Some shows just don't go your way, and this was one of them," they said. "We were really looking forward to the LXS performance, but the night had a few hiccups."
The first issue was the lengthy DJ set that preceded the main act. "We're used to a DJ warming up the crowd before the headliner, but a 2-hour warm-up was a bit much," the attendee noted. "I'm sure there were good reasons for the delay, like the snow and wanting to get more people in the venue before the show started. But sometimes waiting too long can be a real buzz kill."
Indeed, the extended wait time seemed to take a toll on the audience. "We saw several groups come to the club, only to leave before LXS even took the stage," the concertgoer said. "It's understandable, especially since a lot of us had to arrange for babysitters and commit to being out late."
However, the DJ did manage to impress the crowd with their song selections. Even though the set was long, the DJ did a great job of playing relevant hip hop tracks that fit the vibe of the LXS performance. They avoided the usual Billboard hits and focused on lesser-known but high-quality songs in the genre. The flow was really smooth.
As LXS finally prepared to hit the stage, the dynamic in the venue began to shift. "It seemed like the group's local fans decided to show up right as they were getting ready to perform," the concertgoer said. "The place started to fill up a bit more, and you could feel the anticipation building."
While the night may not have gone exactly as planned, the LXS show at Club David still managed to deliver a memorable experience for those who stuck it out. Even with the delays and long wait, the energy in the room when LXS got ready to finally perform, definitely picked up.
