The EDM scene in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, is a burgeoning one, and we were thrilled to be invited to an EDM show at Bigs Bar, organized by Siouxciety. As avid supporters of all genres of music, we were excited to see what the local talent had to offer. We also took the opportunity to vend our leftover RaveTopia Festival items from the festival season, adding a touch of color and vibrancy to the event.
The evening kicked off with Good Lads, who set the tone for the night with their back-to-back DJ set. Their transitions were smooth, and their stage presence was palpable, making them a great opening act for the show.
Next up was Knwbody, who turned the energy up a notch. His set was a blend of pulsating beats and electrifying rhythms that got the crowd moving. His performance was a testament to the talent that exists within the local EDM scene.
However, the highlight of the night was undoubtedly Silent Thunder. His set was a masterful blend of popular songs and well-crafted drops. His remix of the classic 'Crazy Train' was a particular crowd-pleaser, with its unexpected drops adding a fresh twist to the well-known track. His mixes were perfectly suited to the size and vibe of the city, making his performance a standout one.
The night was rounded off by Trip B. and Bloke. While their sets were enjoyable and fun to listen to, they couldn't quite match the energy and crowd engagement that Silent Thunder had managed to achieve. That's not to say they were bad - far from it. Their music was a fitting end to the night, winding down the crowd after the high-energy sets that had come before.
However, it was clear that Silent Thunder was the crowd's favorite. His set had all the sexy ladies dancing, and his music resonated with the audience in a way that the other acts didn't quite manage to achieve.
Overall, the EDM show at Bigs Bar was a fantastic showcase of local talent. It was a night of great music, high energy, and a vibrant crowd. We're excited to see what Siouxciety has in store for future events, and we're looking forward to supporting more local EDM shows in the future.
