Political Shorts: Vivek wants to revive the American Revolution
American revolution based in traditional ideals, the dissolution of the Department of Education, and solving the border crisis using the military
I stumbled across a clip of an interview with Vivek Ramaswamy that Tim Pool shared on 𝕏, where he talks about some of his positions on the state of the GOP, what options they have, as well as what he believes is the correct path to pursue.
Vivek Ramaswamy vows to “shut down” the Department of Education as he believes, "it is not subject to reform. It cannot be reformed."
He also said he would handle the border crisis with the military.
Then, he presented an ultimatum of sorts that the GOP is faced with.
"The real choice that I think the GOP faces in this primary is do we want reform, incremental reform, or do we want revolution? I stand on the side of revolution…"
After being prompted by the interviewer, he goes onto elaborate saying...
"We need a revival of the American Revolution and it’s Ideals. Ideals like self governance over aristocracy. The idea that we the people sort out our differences through free speech and open debate in the public without elite interference…
He continues...
…The ideal that it’s not in the back of palace halls or three-letter government agencies that we decide the right answers to question from climate change to racial injustice, but that the citizens do it in a constitutional republic, and we have lost that."
Do you think he is correct on any of these points? Why?
Is he way off base? Why?
