Stepping into Hell's Kitchen, I was immediately captivated by the ambiance, particularly the bathroom art, which was hauntingly great and set the tone for an intriguing dining experience. The establishment offers a unique twist on familiar culinary staples, starting with their beverage selection. I opted for a "Dr. Better," a local crafted soda reminiscent of Dr. Pepper, which was a delightful surprise.
Our meal began with the walleye bites and cheese curd appetizers. The cheese curds were an unexpected delight; they were puffy, fried in a style reminiscent of Asian cuisine, and served with a sweet and sour sauce that complemented them perfectly. The walleye was excellently prepared, showcasing the chef's skill in balancing flavors.
For the main course, I chose the mac and cheese with bison. It was wonderfully seasoned, with just the right amount of kick, making it a standout dish. My dining companion, Ben, enjoyed his burger but felt it could have used a tad more peanut butter. He did, however, praise the house dry rub, noting its unique pizza-like taste.

The only minor drawback was that my drink ran empty for a while, especially given the spicy undertones of the dishes, but this was a small blip in an otherwise flawless service.
Dessert was a rich, dense brownie that was beautifully complemented by tart raspberry and the waitress's recommendation of ice cream. However, the real treat was watching a long ginger-bearded employee sing Alanis Morissette's "Ironic" while working, adding a touch of humor and charm to our evening.

I also appreciated the personal touch of an employee bringing out caramel for a customer's meal to try alongside syrup, truly personalizing the dining experience.
Overall, Hell's Kitchen offers a distinctive and memorable dining experience with its creative menu, vibrant atmosphere, and attentive service. I look forward to returning and exploring more of their unique offerings.
