Fauci criminally referred for perjury | Alleged cover up of lab-leak theory | Wuhan Lab funding revoked
The entire narrative pushed by Fauci around the origins of Covid has crumbled under the scrutiny of the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic.
Update: Here is the criminal referral Sen. Rand Paul sent to Merrick Garland on July 14th.
On February 16, 2020, Dr. Andrew Rambaut,' on behalf of himself and his co-authors, Dr. Kristian Andersen, Dr. W. Ian Lipkin, Dr. Edward Holmes, and Dr. Robert Garry, posted:
"The Proximal Origin of SARS-CoV-2" on the website Virological.® One month later, on March 17, 2020, "The proximal origin of SARS-CoV-2" (Proximal Origin) was published in Nature Medicine.
Proximal Origin expressed two primary conclusions: (1) "…[COVID-19]° is not a laboratory construct or a purposefully manipulated virus," and (2) "we do not believe that any type of laboratory-based scenario is plausible.”
Conspiracy Theories have become reality
Dr. Anthony Fauci was the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) from 1984 to 2022.
He oversaw an extensive research portfolio of basic and applied research to prevent, diagnose, and treat established infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDS, respiratory infections, diarrheal diseases, tuberculosis, and malaria, as well as emerging diseases such as Ebola, Zika, and COVID-19. Dr. Fauci advised seven Presidents on HIV/AIDS and many other domestic and global health issues, and was one of the principal architects of the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), a program that has saved more than 20 million lives throughout the developing world.
He was a key advisor to seven Presidents and their administrations on global HIV/AIDS issues, and on initiatives to bolster medical and public health preparedness against emerging infectious disease threats such as pandemic influenza and COVID-19.
Yet in the face of a global pandemic, Dr. Anthony Fauci found himself a controversial figure in an alleged Covid origin cover-up.
He has been accused of lying under oath before congress about the NIH funding gain of function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Subcommittee memos show he prompted colleagues to publish a peer-reviewed paper to debunk the lab leak theory.
What actually happened?
Email to Dr. Collins seems to show Fauci knew NIH was funding Wuhan gain-of-function research
In an email released by The Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, we learned that Dr. Fauci provided a summary of the call to some colleagues, including Dr. Collins, where he described how he felt the call went well. However, he explained there were concerns regarding the FACT that gain of function research was being conducted at the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
Please, go ahead. Read it for yourself.
“The call with Jeremy Farrar (Wellcome Trust) went very well. Francis Collins joined and there were several highly credible scientists (including and in addition to the two that I spoke with last night) on the call with expertise in evolutionary biology... they were concerned about the fact that upon viewing the sequences of several isolates of nCoV, there were mutations in the virus that would be most unusual to have evolved naturally in the bats and there was a suspicion that this mutation was intentionally inserted.”
Fauci continues...
“The suspicion was heightened by the fact that scientists in Wuhan University are known to have been working on gain-of-function experiments to determine the molecular mechanisms associated with bat viruses adapting to human infection, and the outbreak originated in Wuhan.”
This email sent by Fauci contrasts his sworn testimony before Congress. When Senator Rand Paul pressed him on the issue of gain-of-function research, he categorically denied the NIH had funded any such research. “The NIH has not ever and does not now fund gain-of-function research in the Wuhan Institute of Virology,” Fauci testified under oath.
He also condemned Senator Paul when he eluded to the possibility that the research being done had led to the outbreak, causing the deaths of millions. Fauci continued to suggest that the research being conducted was in fact NOT gain of function research. Paul then cited the paper by WIV scientists titled 'Discovery of a rich gene pool of bat SARS-related coronaviruses provides new insights into the origin of SARS coronavirus.’
According to a report published by the DailyMail:
The paper specifically talks about ongoing efforts to produce a 'chimeric' coronavirus, which means it has been altered by man – otherwise known as 'gain of function.'
It also details, Paul noted, that the NIH was a source of funding for that research.
In the same report by the DailyMail, they revealed that, “Senator Rand Paul, a Republican from Kentucky, wrote to Attorney General Merrick Garland last week calling for an investigation into whether Dr Fauci, 82, committed perjury when he testified in front of a Senate committee in 2021.”
The DailyMail also states that the Government Accountability Office concluded the NIH funded multiple organizations in Wuhan China, who were engaged in various coronavirus research.
NIH provided funding to The Wuhan Institute of Virology for their project called, "Understanding the Risk of Bat Coronavirus Emergence" which was dealing directly with genetic experiments designed to combine naturally occurring bat coronaviruses with other SAERS and MERS viruses that would result in “hybridized strains.”
NIH also funded the Wuhan University’s collaboration with WIV on viral detection in the Yunnan province.
The totality of facts uncovered to this point show how misinformation truly can be dangerous. Especially when top government officials obfuscate their role in the outbreak of a global pandemic that killed millions of people around the globe.
Evidence supporting alleged Lab-Leak cover up
On July 11th 2023, the select committee released a memorandum titled ‘THE PROXIMAL ORIGIN OF A COVER-UP: DID THE BETHESDA BOYS" DOWNPLAY A LAB LEAK?’ The memorandum includes an assortment of emails and statements made by a group of scientists included in the February 1st conference call email, as well as two additional doctors who were present, but were not included in the calls roster.
On February 1, 2020, Dr. Farrar emailed a large group to set up a conference call to discuss Dr. Andersen's concerns about the origins of COVID-19. The original attendee list included:
Kristian Andersen
Bob Garry
Christian Drosten
Tony Fauci
Mike Ferguson
Ron Fouchier
Eddie Holmes
Marion Koopmans
Stefan Pohlmann
Andrew Rambaut
Paul Schreier
Patrick Vallance
In addition to Dr. Fauci, the Select Subcommittee established that at least two other federal government officials were on the call despite not being on the official roster - Dr. Collins and Dr. Lawrence Tayback.
What this investigation details is an effort made by Fauci and others to draft and publish a “peer-reviewed” paper that would “de-bunk” the lab leak theory. The Select Committee concluded that the stated goal of Proximal Origin was to “disprove” the lab leak theory.
In the executive summary of the memo, it states:
Since Proximal Origin was published, it has been accessed 5.84 million times. Further, it has garnered the third most attention of any paper of a similar age across all journals and the second most attention of any paper of a similar age in Nature Medicine." Finally, it has received the fifth most attention of any paper ever tracked.
Originally, Fauci had told Anderson that if he found it’s characteristics to be consistent with the lab leak theory, he should consider drafting a peer-reviewed paper on the origins of COVID. On January 31, 2020, Dr. Fauci "suggested” Andersen draft a paper regarding a possible lab leak of COVID-19. He warned that if Andersen determined COVID-19 was the result of a lab leak, he would need to contact law enforcement, positioning Anderson so that he’d be inclined to divert attention away from this theory.
This “peer-reviewed” paper would arguably become the single most impactful piece of scientific literature in our countries history. The influence it would have on our scientific community, public health policy, social discourse, and the public’s trust in our Nation’s institutions to disseminate true and accurate information, is likely going to be felt for decades to come.
Despite these intelligent minds being fully aware of the importance in identifying covid-19’s origins, they chose to publish a paper that was not based in science, or in fact.
What came next is arguably the worse transgression.
“It’s very dangerous, Chuck, because a lot of what you’re seeing as attacks on me quite frankly are attacks on science, because all of the things that I have spoken about consistently from the very beginning, have been fundamentally based on science,” Fauci told host Chuck Todd on MSNBC.
Your lives, your families lives, your friends lives, and the lives of nearly every single person in this country are irreparably damaged because of the actions of those in the scientific community. We look to these highly educated, highly respected experts for guidance in nearly every aspect of our lives.
Despite many Americans continued trust, they were betrayed. They were demonized. They were locked in their homes, and kept from seeing their dying family members. Some parents were even barred from the delivery rooms where their daughter gave birth without her families support, amidst one of the most challenging, yet beautiful moments in her life.
Children’s education faltered because of the policies put in place. Their development would forever be stunted, as the pandemic confined themn to their living rooms, bed rooms, and kitchen tables. Social Distancing practices created a further “distance” children would have to traverse in the pursuit of a quality education; an education being fundamental in dissolving the growing economic gaps between classes. Many will struggle with speech as a result of face masks interrupting their lives.
Many hard-working Americans would lose their jobs, lose their homes, or lose the ability to provide for and feed their family. They would be chastised by their fellow colleagues for asking questions in the face of such uncertainty. They would be laughed at and derided, physically attacked in the streets, excluded from family gatherings, disowned by parents or children, and socially isolated for considering more than the approved way in which to think.
These things are symbolic. We gain insight in these moments, as if we’re piercing through the veil, peering into what the future holds for us.
Perhaps, an Omen. Or perhaps, there is still hope.
Perjury is a federal crime punishable by up to 5 years in prison. Dr. Anthony Fauci, who is now retired from his position as a federal official, should be investigated by the DOJ to determine whether charges will be brought against him for lying under oath.
