Democrats And The Scourge of Child Sex Slavery
Opinion/point of view piece

It took mankind eons to realize that enslaving other human beings was a moral abomination. These United States, although in fits and starts, was along with Great Britain, at the cutting edge of eliminating that scourge. It took a war between the states and over 600,000 fatalities to effectively abolish the practice, and a constitutional amendment to make that fact legally enforceable. Today, the ownership of other human beings is illegal in every country in the World.
Sadly, there appear to be more people enduring some form of slavery throughout the world today, than there were worldwide in 1860. According to an article about slavery in modern times, this century to be specific, there are approximately 50 million people under some sort of involuntary servitude not as a result of a lawful court action (prison). Back in the 1860’s when slavery was still legal in these United States and elsewhere, the number was estimated to be around 25-27 million worldwide. Today, according to the article: What is Modern Slavery, the number is much higher.
According to the latest Global Estimates of Modern Slavery (2022)from Walk Free, the International Labour Organization and the International Organization for Migration:
49.6 million people live in modern slavery – in forced labour and forced marriage
Roughly a quarter of all victims of modern slavery are children
22 million people are in forced marriages. Two out of five of these people were children
Of the 27.6 millionpeople trapped in forced labour, 17.3 million are in forced labour exploitation in the private economy, 6.3 million are in commercial sexual exploitation, and nearly 4 million are in forced labour imposed by state authorities
The Covid-19 pandemic has exacerbated the conditions that lead to modern slavery
Migrant workers are particularly vulnerable to forced labour.

The worst part of all of this…is the kids. From above…Roughly a quarter of all victims of modern slavery are children. That amounts to 12.4 million kids. Of those, some estimates claim that one quarter (about 3.1 million) are trafficked for use as sexual slaves.
According to a 2020 CNN article about child sex trafficking in these United States:
The US National Human Trafficking Hotline identified 22,326 trafficking victims and survivors last year. Of those, 14,597 were cases of sex trafficking and 1,048 were sex and labor trafficking, or forcing someone to work by fraud or coercion.

This horrid state of affairs is largely invisible to the American public…that is until lately. A newly released indy film, Sound of Freedom, has captured the attention of mainstream America and opened a large window into the sordid practice of child sex trafficking. The reaction from the left, is another story however. As my good friend and AFNN colleague Bill Crews who writes as Streiff over at Red State says:
The leftist reaction to Sound of Freedom, is akin to a Vampire being confronted with a cross or being doused in Holy Water.
Why would that be? I give part of the answer in a previous article:
What’s next? For the left? Simple. They want to normalize sex between adults and children not legally capable of consent. They hide behind “studies” and “research”claiming that there is no adverse effect on children. The entire leftist cabal does its level best to keep it hidden from the public.

My words might be construed as implying mal intent. They aren’t. I’m coming right out and saying it. The Biden border policies are evil. Period.
At one time, Republicans and Democrats could cordially agree to disagree. We could excuse our differences by attributing them to well-meaning but different and equally valid outlooks on how to solve a mutual problem. This is essentially a form of Hanlon’s razor which says, “Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.”
Something similar has been attributed to science fiction author Robert Heinlein’s short story “Logic of Empire” in 1941. A conversation between two characters discussing indentured servitude:
“I would say that you have fallen into the commonest fallacy of all in dealing with social and economic subjects-the ‘devil theory.’”
“Huh?”
“You have attributed conditions of villainy that simply result from stupidity.”
The second example is actually more on point in today’s discussion, and the second part of why such vitriol directed at this very popular movie by the left, especially the media. Some estimates say there are upwards of 80,000 “refugee” children who have crossed our Southern border and disappeared
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Office of Refugee Resettlement lost more than 85,000 children and its cost US taxpayers more than $13 billion this past decade according to Open The Book’s report.

The math says that there must be at least several thousand who are now living at best, in abject servitude and at worst, serving as objects of perverse gratification now being touted as “normal” by some elements of the Democrat party. Remember? “We’re here, we’re queer, and we’re coming for your children?”
So what villainy is it that I am pointing towards? Simple, the deliberate establishment and continuance of the attractive nuisance at our Southern border. This situation was created by the personal directive of the doddering, angry old man now residing at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. His policies have effectively said that, “If you can get across our border, we will process you, issue you a court date and let you go.“
This gives the human traffickers known as “coyotes,” the ability to come across the border with women and children in tow, masquerading as a family unit. Once cut loose into the interior of these United States, they disappear. What happens to the women and children? Sound of Freedom gives one horrific example of the possibilities.
While the addled President of our great land might not have any idea as to what “his” border policies have wrought, It’s well nigh certain that the real decision-makers pulling his strings do. This is where the true venality is. They know all of this; they know the horrific effect on innocent children, and yet they still insist on leaving the Southern border open. It’s worse than that. They are actually inviting people, many women and children, to undertake a dangerous, thousand-mile journey. Many of them end up as part of the “supply chain,” that feeds the appetites of deviant and disordered people.
In this case, I shall ignore Hanlon and instead, deliberately misquote Heinlein—“I will certainly attribute conditions of villainy and not allow the excuse of stupidity.
