Our Little Big adventure was a whirlwind of music, friends, and unexpected luck. It all started with our determination to secure press access for The Skyway and Little Big events. As we eagerly awaited responses from our requests, we realized that Boogie T was also performing that night, adding to the excitement.
One of the things we love about The Skyway is its ability to host multiple shows in various genres, providing a diverse entertainment option for the Twin Cities area. With no response to our press access requests by 3 PM, we decided to buy another ticket to cover the show for our readers. We embarked on a four-hour journey, arriving just in time for the doors to open.
As we approached the venue, we noticed a decent line forming outside. However, thanks to the efficient organization by The Skyway staff, we were able to walk straight to the front once we parked our car. After grabbing some drinks, we made our way to the Lyric, but not before getting distracted by the Boogie T merchandise table. Although the merch girl wasn't ready yet, I promised myself I would return later for the Pashmina I had my eye on.
Inside the Lyric, we immediately bumped into some friends from Open Minded, a group we have previously worked with and love. Messages were exchanged, and it was clear that our friend groups were in sync for the night. Soon, other friends of Open Minded joined us, and we discussed the upcoming Four Winds Festival, where Prof would be headlining. To our surprise, one of the friends turned out to be the Horse from Prof's "Cousins" video, adding an extra layer of excitement to our conversation.

Little Big took the stage and delivered an incredible performance. They started by announcing their presence and declared that they were having a Little Big as he pointed out the beautifully accented curved belly of his partner. The crowd favorites were played, and the Lobster Cult members, clad in their lobster costumes, added to the electric atmosphere. The audience participation was perfect, making the show even more memorable.

Little Big gained international attention with their energetic and outrageous performances, catchy songs, and bold music videos. Their music blends elements of rave, punk, pop, and hardcore, creating a unique and infectious sound that appeals to a wide audience. The band's lyrics often touch on social and political issues, using satire and humor to convey their messages.

One of their most popular songs, "Skibidi," became a viral sensation, with people around the world attempting to imitate the iconic dance moves featured in the music video. The band's ability to create catchy and memorable hooks, combined with their visually captivating videos, helped them gain a massive following and global recognition.

In addition to their music, Little Big is known for their eccentric and flamboyant style. They often wear outrageous costumes and incorporate theatrical elements into their performances, creating a visually stunning and entertaining experience for their audience.
Despite their success, the band has faced criticism and controversy. Some have accused them of promoting controversial and provocative themes in their music and videos. However, Little Big maintains that their purpose is to challenge societal norms and encourage people to embrace their individuality and freedom.
Following the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Little Big made the decision to relocate to Los Angeles, California. They cited being on a government blacklist and the inability to perform shows in Russia as reasons for their move. The band has been vocal about their opposition to the actions of the Russian government and has used their platform to raise awareness about the war and its impact on younger generations.
Despite the challenges they have faced, Little Big remains determined to continue making music and pushing boundaries. They have expressed their desire to release a new album, showcasing their ambition and love for different genres. Little Big's unique blend of music, performance art, and social commentary has solidified their place as one of the most exciting and innovative acts in the music industry. As they continue to evolve and experiment with their sound, there's no doubt that Little Big will continue to captivate audiences around the world with their electrifying performances and infectious music.
After the show, we still had some energy left, but considering the long drive ahead of us, we decided to head down and buy the Pashmina I had my heart set on. Unfortunately, it had already sold out. Disappointed but undeterred, we decided to check out the merchandise at StudioB, where I found some fantastic new show jewelry from Meta Depictions.
Curiosity got the best of us, and we decided to see who was playing at the Boogie T show. However, with Chef Boyarbeatz still performing and the looming 4-hour drive, we couldn't justify staying for several more hours. We made our way back to the car, grabbing a delicious street hot dog on the way, and hit the road.
As luck would have it, we found ourselves in Mankato before the bars closed. Remembering the BDE Boys/Denham/HighWired show run, we decided to make a stop and catch up with the guys. It was Andy Beltz of the BDE Boys' birthday, so we wanted to celebrate with them. As we pulled up we found Andy in a Toga chatting with none other than Professor Fresh!
During a bathroom break, I noticed a pulltab group with all the big winners still open. Feeling lucky, I decided to try my luck and invested some of my travel cash into a few pull tabs. To our amazement, we ended up winning $425, covering the entire weekend's travel expenses. This unexpected windfall helps ensure that our content could continue to reach our readers without a paywall.
With our “drinks”, Redbull, finished and winnings in hand, we embarked on the final leg of our journey home. The feeling of riding the wave of great music and luck over the weekend was exhilarating, and it left us with memories that would last a lifetime. Our Little Big adventure was a testament to the power of music, friendship, and the unexpected surprises that life has in store.
